Development of SP7

1. How strong is the encryption used in SP7?
The encryption method with the highest level actually in use (AES256) is used for encryption, and the only way of decrypting this encryption with current technology is thought to be brute-force finding the key. Further, the commonly used 8 digits of numbers and letters has about 3 trillion key combinations (10 to the twelfth power), but SP7 uses a key with combinations numbering about 10 to the 64th power, a number that many computers would take many years to calculate, and in reality it is considered impossible to decrypt.

2. How strong is the authentication used in SP7?
A one-time password that is more solid than password authentication is used for authentication.
In contrast to 6-digit numbers used by internet banks, etc., SP7 uses 40 digits of numbers and letters, taking far more complicated figures.
In addition, normally time-based one-time passwords allow the same values to be used in specified time units (1 minute, etc.), but SP7 adds a unique improvement whereby the same password cannot be used again even in the same time units.

3. What is the difference (in price) with exclusive lines?
 Exclusive lines
○When newly constructing an exclusive line between Osaka and Tokyo (Company N: bandwidth 1G, 100M guaranteed burst type)

    ・Initial fee: 50,000 yen × 2 bases = 100,000 yen
    ・Monthly fee: 500,000 yen × 2 bases = 1,000,000 yen

The fees above are needed for one base each time a new base is added
A comparatively cheap exclusive line service using VPN technology

(Note) Regions offering one line with the same capabilities costs about 2,000,000~4,000,000 yen monthly for connecting bases with direct exclusive lines are often limited to areas surrounding large cities.

 Internet + SP7
○When using an internet line in Osaka and Tokyo (using as existing line)
    ・Initial fee: 20,000 yen × 2 terminals = 40,000 yen
             15,000 yen × 2 terminals = 30,000 yen~(SP7Box)
                      total 70,000 yen~

    ・Annual fee: 2,000 yen × 2 terminals = 4,000 yen
                         (After the second year)
               2,500 yen × 1 CloudSpace = 2,500 yen
                500 yen × 1 menber = 500 yen
                   total 7,000 yen~

4. What about the risk of information leakage by theft or wiretapping of data?
Even storage management companies and service providers, the locations where data is stored, and, of course, third parties, cannot decrypt the encrypted data, and it cannot use it as big data either. This is because the key is managed by the user themselves and data is encrypted according to the user’s will. Even if data is stolen in the communication route or storage location, since only the user holds the key, it cannot be encrypted by others.

5. What about its safety when the device is lost?
Just as a password is set when using a computer, a password can be set when using SP7 as well. Of course, a password can be set for the SP7 multi-access controller as well. Further, commercially supplied USB memory sticks can be used as external keys for booting SP7. SP7 cannot be booted unless this key (USB) is inserted. With these methods, safety precautions are taken for any possibilities. In addition, by contacting the loss center, the device’s key can be cancelled by remote control.

6. What kind of company is developing SP7?
SP7 is being developed by a company that undertakes program development of systems used in development of space technology and has both the cutting-edge technology and high reliability.

7. What kind of data center handles the data?
The data center that SP7 uses is managed by a major company handling solid and excellent facilities and providing living infrastructures, and provides a safer operational environment by performing dispersion management of data in Japan.
